The Word for the World (TWFTW) contributed six papers to the Bible Translation Conference 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This was our largest participation in the biennial conference to date, and three of the papers were created through the work of our Department of Personal & Personnel Development (PPD). The PPD team presented papers related to eradicating injustice, entrusting training and education to local partners, and on improving translation quality through increased on-the-job training (specifically redefining “exegetes” from external advisors roles to local trainers and coaches).
TWFTW is not only increasing our impact–equipping indigenous expertise towards increased local ownership–in the communities where we work, but is helping to amplify the voices of the amazing translators God has called to translate the Scriptures.
